Recently fully refurbished, the Truk Blue Lagoon Resort is an excellent hotel set within 14 acres of tropical gardens. During WWII, the grounds of the resort were used by the Japanese command and many wartime relics remain. The resort offers easy access to the many wreck dives of Truk Lagoon.

Truk Blue Lagoon Resort is set along the water's edge with views out across historic Truk Lagoon. Accommodation is in 54 rooms, built in two-story buildings surrounded by palm trees. There is a well managed dive centre with a fleet of fast boats that can reach the furthest wreck in just 55 minutes. This resort is an excellent choice for those looking to combine the great wreck dives of Truk Lagoon with the comforts and space that only a beachside resort can offer.

Your Accommodation Options

Each room is spacious with air conditioning and private en-suite bathroom and a verandah to the front. All rooms have IDD telephone and, should guests require, a TV and DVD player can be requested when making the booking.

The 27 Superior Rooms are all to be found on the top level. Each room is spacious with air conditioning and private en-suite bathroom and a balcony to the front. All rooms have IDD telephone and should guests require, a TV and DVD player can be requested when making the booking.

Restaurants & Bars

The resort has one island-style restaurant, situated close to the waters edge with views out over the lawn and the sea beyond. A choice of menus are available offering everything from pasta meals and burgers, to Asian delicacies and freshly caught seafood dishes. A choice of beers and wines are available from the menu to accompany meals.

Outside the main restaurant, situated on the lawn with views out to sea, is the Beach Bar offering a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. This is a wonderful place to socialise, relax and to enjoy the glorious sunsets of Truk Lagoon.

Facilities at the resort include a gift shop and free wi-fi is available in the lobby. Internet service is also provided, at a small charge, and the hotel offers laundry service. Safety deposit boxes are available at the front desk.

The island of Truk is littered with relics from the war and land tours are offered from the resort, including a visit to manmade Japanese caves with their huge gunnery, as well as to the old Japanese lighthouse, peppered with bullet holes.

The Blue Lagoon Dive Centre is very well managed by experienced instructors and guides. A fleet of 10 boats allows groups to be assembled according to their experience and desires of which wrecks they wish to dive. Each day is flexible according to customer requests and dives are conducted safely with a limit of just six divers to a guide.

Technical diving, including mixed gas blending, rebreather support and twin band set-ups, are fully catered for and there is a large amount of equipment available to hire. Typically, the boats will set off to make two dives in the morning, before heading back to the resort for lunch, followed by an afternoon dive. Night dives are available as and when they are requested by guests.
