The 38m MV Bilikiki was the first liveaboard to become established in the Solomon Islands.  She is professionally run, well maintained, comfortable and spacious and offers accommodation for 20 guests in 10 twin/double cabins all with air conditioning and en-suite facilities.

She has a large dive deck with plenty of space for kit, freshwater showers and rinse tanks. Diving takes place from two skiffs - the attentive crew follow your bubbles and shuttle you back to Bilikiki as soon as you surface.  Up to five dives a day are offered.

Boat Info

Bilikiki accommodates 20 guests in 10 cabins - 8 cabins have a double bed plus a single bed above and two further cabins have twin beds (no bunk).  All have en-suite bathrooms with shower.

There is a large sundeck and covered decks with open sides.  The lounge area has comfortable seating, TV/DVD and a library of reference material and general reading.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served buffet style and there are tasty snacks available too.  The chef is always happy to assist with special menu requests, but please notify us in advance of any specific needs.

The on board bar offers spirits, beer, wines and soft drinks.

The crew of 11 are well trained and friendly and will make every effort to ensure you have a great trip. In addition there are 2 managers who take care of the ships operations and run the diving.

The Diving

Bilikiki has large dive decks which give plenty of room for individual storage.  There are hangers for wetsuits, freshwater showers and rinse tanks. Divers are shuttled to the dives sites in one of the two specially designed skiffs.  The crew on the skiffs track divers by their bubbles and quickly pick you up and transfer you back to the monthership.  A lot of the diving is not deep as because the reefs start close to the surface and gradually drop off - allowing time to explore.  There are deeper dives, such as some walls, where you'll need to use your computer.

The diving itinerary is not fixed - the dive managers will plan according to conditions and the wishes of the divers.  They are very flexible in their planning and happy to receive guest input and comments.  Up to 5 dives a day are offered and with water temperatures generally between 28 - 30 deg, a lycra suit or 2-3mm wet suit is recommended.  However, after multiple dives, you may find you need some thermal protection.

For photographers, Bilikiki has 110 volt electrical outlets for battery recharging and large camera tables as well as a digital projector and wide screen TV with USB, HDMI and VGA inputs.

There is a full range of dive equipment available to rent on board - we recommend that you book this prior to your trip. Nitrox is available for certified divers.
