The Diving

M/Y blue Horizon covers a wide range of regions within the Red Sea and has itineraries to suit all levels of experience. Sailing weekly from Hurghada or Marsa Alam (Port Ghalib); itineraries include - Best of Brothers, Best of Daedalus, Best of the Red Sea, Best of Wrecks, Brothers & Elphinstone, Daedalus & Fury Shoal, Daedalus & Fury Shoal, Daedalus & St Johns, Deep South, Deep South Borderlands, Mareefa, North & Brothers, North & Res Mohamed, Northern Wrecks & Reefs, Simply the Best, Strait of Tiran & Brothers and Strait of Tiran & North.

There are also a range of speciality itineraries to maximise learning and enjoyment including; Project Shark, HAYAH Reef Clean Up and an In Focus photography workshop run by Saeed Rashid.  An expert panel of dive guides have been hand picked to run these trips with optional evening seminars conducted to educate and entertain.

The northern parts of the Red Sea tend to have the easiest diving, with more challenging diving the further south you head and within the Marine Parks where there are more exposed reefs, deeper dives and stronger currents. Although the Straits of Tiran and the Deep South itineraries are suitable for less experienced divers. Visibility is crystal clear.

The MY blue Horizon is fully equipped with a Nitrox membrane, booster pump and is rebreather friendly.

Marine Parks: Divers booking an itinerary that visits the Marine Parks (Brothers, Daedalus Reef, Rocky and Zabargad) must have a minimum of 30 logged dives and please note there is no night diving allowed in the Marine Parks. The exception to this is Ras Mohamed National Park where the diving is easy and night diving is allowed and there is no minimum number of dives required.

Thistlegorm: Egyptian regulations require divers to have a minimum of 20 logged dives if they wish to dive the Thistlegorm.
