Remote and secluded, the tiny resort of Paradise Taveuni offers the perfect get-away-from-it-all holiday with superb diving, culinary delights and an intimate ambiance.

Paradise Taveuni is set in five acres of ocean front land with deep water frontage and an extinct volcano behind as a dramatic background.

Set in elevated, manicured gardens, the resort offers impressive sea and sunset views.

The island specialises in diving, which is excellent with many colourful hard and soft coral reefs, the opportunity to see bronze whaler sharks, manta rays and other pelagic species, all easily accessed from the dive centre.

The resort has its own house reef, ideal for night diving and a photographer`s dream.

Your Accommodation Options

Ocean Front bure

There are five Ocean Front bures all with uninterrupted sea views. Built in the traditional architecture of Fiji, with thatched roofs, and set in abundant tropical gardens, the bures offer comfortable accommodation as well as privacy and seclusion. French glass doors open onto a spacious deck where there is a fijian day bed. Inside there is a king size bed in a private room, generous lounge room and a modern bathroom with indoor bathtub. There is an outdoor shower and jacuzzi in a private tropical garden. All bures have tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar and refrigerator, two ceiling fans and hairdryer.

This is a tranquil resort and the rooms do not have TV, radio or telephone.

Tropical bure

The five Tropical bures with views over the lush gardens to the ocean. They have the same facilities as the Ocean View bures. All bures have tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar and refrigerator, two ceiling fans and hairdryer.

Vale Lomani (beautiful room)

The seven recently added vales are ocean front and air conditioned. Like the bures, all have a king size bed in a private room, generous lounge room and a modern bathroom with indoor bathtub. There is an outdoor shower and jacuzzi in a private tropical garden. All bures have tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar and refrigerator, two ceiling fans and hairdryer.

Restaurants & Bars

The thatched roof restaurant has a beautiful sea view and is situated overlooking the tropical gardens.

Paradise Taveuni pride themselves on offering an excellent standard of cuisine. The owner, Alan, is himself a chef and he ensures that the food meets an international standard with a blend of the flavour of the Fijian Islands.

All packages are full board and include a cooked breakfast, one course lunch and two course dinner.

Afternoon tea and coffee served with biscuits is also available in the restaurant.

Once a week, guests can enjoy a traditional Fijian Lovo, the Fijian word for a feast cooked in the earth.

Activities

Although Paradise Resort is a waterfront property it is elevated from the sea (no more than about 5m) and has no sandy beach. Instead, they have a beautiful cliff top freshwater swimming pool surrounded by gorgeous tropical gardens.

The Oceanfront Spa offers a range of treatments for relaxation and rejuvination.

There's lots to do from the resort; snorkelling, diving, kayaking, boat trips, guided hiking tours, rainforest treks, waterfall day treks and village visits. Dolphin Bay is 15 minutes walk away and here there are two black sand beaches.

The tour desk on the resort can organise fishing trips, learn to surf excursions, surfing day trips and a variety of guided tours.

In the Tekiteki Bar there is a book exchange as well as a selection of books on Fijian history, culture, flora and fauna.

Diving

With over 40 dive sites and a fabulous house reef you are spoilt for choice at Paradise Taveuni!

As it is situated on the southern end of the Somosomo channel this is the only resort offering dives on both the Vuna Reef and the famous Rainbow Reef. Taveuni and the Somosomo Straits are known as the soft coral capital of the world with the famous dive site, the Great White Wall being one of many superb places to dive. Fish life is prolific here, from the weird and wonderful critters such as leaf fish, ribbon eels, mantis shrimps to the commonly seen white tip and grey reef sharks.

Pro Dive Taveuni have 3 new custom built dive boats taking a total of 39 guests between them. The dive centre offers great flexibility and, depending on conditions, the dive boats will take guests to whichever dive site they wish at any time during the day.

Unlimited dive packages include 3 boat dives per day and unlimited diving on the resort's house reef which is easily accessed from the jetty and is fun for night diving, critter hunting and photography.

PADI Discover Scuba, Open Water, Advanced and Rescue Diver courses as well as a range of specialty courses are available. Nitrox is also available.

Travel Information

For a holiday at Paradise Taveuni Resort you will need to fly to Nadi in Fiji and then onwards by domestic flight to the island of Taveuni. The main gateways for Fiji are Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Australia and we can arrange flights with a variety of airlines including Emirates, Singapore Airlines, British Airways, Air New Zealand and Cathay Pacific at very competitive fares. The flight time from Nadi to Taveuni is approximately one hour and 25 minutes.

Paradise Taveuni Resort is a one hour scenic transfer from the airport.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - 2

Afternoon departure from the UK for international flight to Los Angeles, connecting with onward flight to Nadi.

Day 3 - 9

Morning arrival into Nadi connecting with onward flight to Taveuni, arriving afternoon.

Transfer to Paradise Taveuni Resort for 7 nights with 10 dives.

Day 10 - 12

Depart Paradise Taveuni Resort and transfer back to Taveuni airport for domestic flight to Suva.

Transfer to Uprising Resort for 3 nights with 1 day diving and 1 day enjoying the zip wire experience!

Day 13

Depart Uprising Resort and transfer back to Nadi airport to check-in for your return international flight via Los Angeles.

Morning Arrival to the UK.
