Truk Lagoon, or Chuuk as it is known locally, is a wreck diver's paradise steeped in World War II history and is a must for any discerning diver. Over 60 wrecks lie in the sheltered lagoon, their guns still pointing to the sky and with spent ammunition shells strewn across their decks. Holds are packed with military hardware and explosives, and personal artifacts and bones can still be seen. The rich and colourful reefs of Palau make this one of the top dive destinations in the world.
