Divers on Veligandu Resort can enjoy a variety of over 20 local dive sites, suitable for all levels of divers, and all within a 45 minute boat trip.

The diving around Rasdhoo Atoll is superb. There is no specific season for the mantas and you have the chance to see them on various dive sites throughout the year, but there is usually a higher concentration of mantas in the months of December through to March. Whitetip reef sharks can be seen on almost every dive, and the sighting of grown blacktips is common. Grey reef sharks can be seen at Madivaru Corner and Kuramathi Thila and the big highlight is the "Big Blue" dive, where you have a good chance year-round to see hammerhead sharks.

The excellent house reef can be dived independently in buddy teams and guided dives are available upon request. There are clearly marked entry and exit points around the island and you can expect to see eagle rays, reef sharks and turtles and good numbers of fish life in general. Currents are rare and on night dives moray eels, lobsters and, almost always, big schools of barracuda can be seen. On the eastern, outside section of the reef there is a good chance to see napoleon wrasse, eagle rays, whitetip reef sharks, stingrays, octopus and many different species of reef fish.

The large lagoon is well protected and is an ideal location for all of the PADI course training sessions that are available and the lagoon has excellent visibility.
