|
12 days
|
This itinerary gives you 12 days on board and will include a combination of either the Central and Northern Atolls or the Central and Southern Atolls. So you can expect to visit some (but not all!) of the following; North and South Male Atolls, Felidhoo Atoll, Meemu Atoll, Ari Atoll, Rasdhoo Atoll, North and South Nilandhoo Atolls, Baa Atoll and Lhaviyani Atoll.
|
CENTRAL ATOLLS & BEYOND Our classic 12 day adventures offer some of the most exciting diving in the Maldives including manta points, the chance to see different species of sharks, experience exhilarating channel diving and see some amazing critters. We even have night diving with sharks and mantas! With our years of diving experience, our trips will take you to the best dive sites reflecting the seasons and conditions. These longer trips generally travel further afield than our 7 day trips.
|
Guests travelling from the UK will arrive to Male around 8am (having left the day before). If you are arranging your own flights or if you are transferring after a stay on a resort island, then our staff will meet you around 9am just outside the arrivals terminal at Male airport. Guests will be transferred to the liveaboard which will be anchored nearby.
Our Cruise Directors will give a safety briefing and guests will have the opportunity to settle in before lunch. It is normal that a check-dive is given in the afternoon. Dinner is usually followed by an early night!
Ten full days of wonderful diving, with a typical program of 3 ocean dives a day:-
06:30 - Tea, coffee and biscuits
07:00 - Dive 1 followed by full breakfast
11:00 - Dive 2 followed by lunch
15:00 - Dive 3 followed by homemade cakes and snacks
19:30 - Dinner
Night diving can be difficult in the Maldives due to strong currents and navigating the reef system in the dark. Any night diving will be at the discretion of the Cruise Directors and is planned subject to local conditions and diver abilities.
The diving schedule is not set in stone so, for example, if we are diving a shallow manta point, we may dive 4 times during the day. On a day when we have to make a passage across a channel from one atoll to another, we might make 2 day dives plus a night dive. Our aim is to give you the best diving for the season and the given conditions
One dive is offered this morning and then guests relax on board while the boat cruises back to Male. In the afternoon guests will usually have the opportunity to visit Male for sight-seeing and shopping.
Note: If you need to disembark today, we can transfer you to the airport any time from 14:00 for your flight or onward connection - please ask our sales team.
For those guests remaining on board, we serve a light breakfast and transfer you to the airport at 08:30am for your international flight home or onward transfer.
If your flight is leaving later in the day then the Hulhule Hotel, which is just 5 minutes from the departure terminal, offers various “Day Packages” – see our resort section for details.
If you are travelling back to the UK, your flight will usually arrive home in the evening (same day).

12 days

This itinerary gives you 12 days on board and will travel north from Male, crossing the 80km of open ocean known as the Kaashidhoo channel, to take in some of the best dive areas of the northern atolls of Baa, Raa, Noonu, Lhaviyani and Shaviyani. There is a one-way domestic flight from Baa Atoll to Male at the end of the trip.
|
NORTHERN ATOLLS The manta cleaning stations of Baa Atoll, including Hanifaru Lagoon, are really buzzing from May to November and the currents create the perfect conditions for whalesharks - so this is a really great time to travel north! There are fantastic thila dives in Raa and Noonu Atolls – including the spectacular Christmas Rock. Lhaviyani Atoll has exhilarating channel diving so we expect to see grey reef sharks, shovelnose and bowmouth guitarfish. The pristine coral reefs in Shaviyani Atoll are rarely-dived and we often see sharks here as well. This should be an exciting trip and perfect for divers looking for a bit of adventure and with photo opportunities to satisfy everyone!

This itinerary gives you 12 days on board and will visit the Atolls of Huvadhoo and Addu and the island of Foammulah.
|
EQUATORIAL FAR SOUTH "SHARK SPECIAL" This trip will be cruising through the atolls of Addu Gan, Foammulah and Huvadhoo with the aim of finding as many species of sharks and rays as possible. Top of the list of those we are hoping to see are tiger sharks, thresher sharks, silky sharks, whalesharks and, of course, our old favourites the graceful oceanic mantas. There will be lots of blue water dives - some in the early hours - and lots of diving in areas of good current. This trip should appeal to experienced divers who are generall fit and good on air, and who like a lot of excitement but don't mind blue water dives where nothing could turn up. These dives are often all-or-nothing! (Minimum 100 logged dives).

Our aim is to give you the best diving for the season and the given conditions

|

Our aim is to give you the best diving for the season and the given conditions.

Guests travelling from the UK will arrive to Male around 8am on Sunday (having left on Saturday). If you are arranging your own flights or if you are transferring after a stay on a resort island, then our staff will meet you around 9am just outside the arrivals terminal at Male airport and will transfer you to the domestic terminal for your one-way flight to Baar Atoll. On arrival to Baa Atoll guests will be met and transferred to the liveaboard which will be anchored nearby.
Our Cruise Directors will give a safety briefing and guests will have the opportunity to settle in before lunch. It is normal that a check-dive is given in the afternoon (time permitting). Dinner is usually followed by an early night!

This itinerary gives you 12 days on board and will start with a domestic flight from Male to Baa Atoll where you will meet the boat. The trip will take in some of the best dive areas of the northern atolls of Baa, Raa, Noonu, Lhaviyani and Shaviyani and then travel south, crossing the 80km of open ocean known at the Kaashidhoo channel, for some diving in North Male Atoll before finishing in Male.
